Yuanpei integrates systematic tutorship for new students into the overall framework of liberal arts.

Yuanpei College has started the 30-Hour "Freshman Training Camping" to help freshmen better understand their majors. The "Freshman Training Camping" invites well-known professors from various majors to give lectures on diverse subjects, helping freshmen to understand the characteristics of each subject as well as the cutting-edge issues, and assisting students to choose their majors and courses independently. At the same time, a team of senior students will become Freshman Counselors, leading freshmen to make new friends, adapt to university life in advance, and integrate into the new environment.

In order to help students learn more about their majors, Yuanpei College has set up "Seminars for Freshmen" in the first semester of their freshman year. With no more than 15 students per class, these seminars set unique course themes, adopt flexible and diverse teaching methods, promote closer teacher-student interaction, guide students to discover their true passions, and help students adapt to university studies and understand the relevant methodologies of the subjects of interest in each class.
