On the morning of September 15, Lingnan University President Qin Sizhao and his delegation visited Peking University. Peking University President Gong Qihuang, along with Vice President and Provost Wang Bo, met with the guests at Linhu Pavilion (Linhu Xuan). Also present at the meeting were Shen Tingting, Director of Lingnan University’s Mainland Affairs Office; Li Meng, Dean of Peking University’s Yuanpei College; Sun Feiyu, Vice Dean of Yuanpei College; and Li Yun, Director of Peking University’s Office of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs.

Following the meeting, President Qin and his delegation proceeded to Yuanpei College, where they were received by Dean Li Meng; Ding Xiyou, Deputy Party Secretary of the College; Liu Jianbo, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Vice Dean of Yuanpei College; Li Boqiao, Vice Dean; and Sun Feiyu, Vice Dean, among other faculty leaders. The two sides held discussions in Room 203 of the Russian Building.

During the talks, President Qin provided an overview of Lingnan University’s development, including its history, academic disciplines, and collaborative initiatives with other institutions. Dean Li Meng shared insights into Yuanpei College’s interdisciplinary majors and freshman education. The two sides exchanged views on relevant issues.
